Jordanian-Kenyan economic forum to be held on Sunday
The Jordanian Businessmen Association said on Tuesday that it will host a Jordanian-Kenyan economy forum on December 11, to promote investment opportunities in Jordan.
The conference, which will bring together businesspeople from the two countries, will cover the food and agriculture, communications and IT, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, tourism, clothing, transportation, education, construction, and real estate sectors.
Nairobi hosted “Jordan Week” in December 2016; 65 Jordanian companies and 135 Jordanian businessmen took part and the ministers of industry and trade from the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of the conference.
Jordan looks forward to deepening bilateral relations with Kenya, which is the gateway to East Africa in the fields of trade, economy, financial and logistical services.
Jordan and Kenya first established diplomatic relations in 1998, and the Jordanian embassy in Nairobi was opened in 2016.
