Tabbaa: King's Algeria visit opens "new horizons" for business, trade cooperation
Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) President, Hamdi Tabbaa, said Monday that His Majesty King Abdullah's visit to Algeria, during which a number of bilateral agreements were signed, will open 'new horizons' for investment, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
He said in a press release that His Majesty has a keen interest in promoting Jordan as a regional hub for business and investment during his visits to various world countries, stressing that Jordanian-Algerian relations are solid and distinguished.
Tabbaa pointed to the many investment opportunities in promising sectors of common interest, noting existing joint investments in the pharmaceutical industry, a key Jordanian export to Algeria, and saying the Jordanian business community looks to the positive outcome of the visit as a serious step to serve the national economy.
He said the JBA, in cooperation with the National Confederation of Algerian Employers, held the Jordanian-Algerian Investment Forum in August, which tackled prospects for cementing economic ties, launching joint ventures and networking between the business communities of both countries.
