Minister of Public Works and Housing Ahmad Abu Al Samen and a Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) delegation Tuesday held talks in Amman to increase economic cooperation.
Abu Al Samen praised the SPD for its support in financing projects in Jordan, especially in infrastructure areas.
He said the Ministry is keen to enhance cooperation with the Fund to implement new development projects and counter challenges to business with projects financed by the SFD.
Abu Al Samen noted SFD-funded projects under implementation and others that have been completed, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, which links Azraq to the Saudi-Jordanian borders.
He praised the SFD's support for projects to construct school buildings that would solve the problem of overcrowding in schools and classrooms.
On SFD-funded health projects, Abu Al Samen said that the delivery percentage of the New Princess Basma Hospital project is 53 per cent, adding that the project would finish by 2024.
