President of the Balqa' Applied University (BAU), Ahmad Al Ajlouny, met with McKenzie Louw, Cultural Affairs Officer at the US Embassy in Amman, on Tuesday to discuss ways to expand collaboration with American universities.
Ajlouny stated that a number of BAU professors, primarily from the medical school, were educated at a number of prestigious US universities, and that the BAU is looking forward to a closer relationship with US universities through student scholarships and faculty exchange.
He indicated that the university is prepared to host Arabic language courses through collaboration with US universities, citing numerous projects funded by the US-Jordanian University Cooperation Network (UCN) for university researchers.
Louw, for her part, said that the visit aimed to strengthen ties between the BAU and American universities, promising to inform American academic institutions about the BAU's level of scientific and academic excellence.
