Jordan on Tuesday participated in the 41st session of the General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which runs until October 7, in Montreal, Canada.
The Jordanian delegation was headed Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Chief Commissioner Captain Haitham Misto, accompanied by CARC specialists.
CARC is participating, along with the delegations of the ICAO member states (193 countries), in addition to many international organizations and bodies operating in the civil aviation sector at the regional and international levels.
The session will discuss challenges facing the security and safety of airports, passengers and aircrafts, including drones, in addition to preserving the environment, best ways and techniques used to serve international air transport, administrative and economic issues, and endorsing ICAO’s work program and budget for 2023-2025, a CARC statement said on Wednesday.
On the sidelines of the General Assembly meetings, the Kingdom's delegation will meet with many delegations of member states and participating organizations to discuss ways of mutual cooperation.
