Jordan's imports of Iraqi crude average $107.7 per barrel in June
Jordan imported about 299,534 barrels of crude oil from Iraq in June at an average price of $107.70 per barrel, a Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources official said Monday.
Hassan Hiyari, the Ministry's Assistant Secretary-General for Energy Affairs, said that Iraq sells crude oil to Jordan at a discount of $16 per barrel from the average price of Brent crude to account for transport costs, inspection fees, and quality differences.
In a statement to Petra, Hiyari also noted that Brent crude averaged around $123.70 per barrel in June.
He also revealed that from September 2021 to June 2022, the Kingdom imported roughly 2.449 million barrels of Iraqi crude, at a daily average of 8,747 barrels.
Under an agreement, Jordan imports 10,000 barrels per day of Iraqi Kirkuk crude oil, which accounts for approximately 7 percent of its market's daily demand.
