Agreement signed to provide Saudi KEMYAN with phosphoric acid
The Indo-Jordan Chemicals Company (IJC), fully owned by the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), on Tuesday sealed an agreement to supply the Saudi Kemyea Yanbu For Industry (KEMYAN) with 30,000 tons of high-quality concentrated phosphoric acid.
IJC will deliver the quantities agreed upon for KEMYAN beginning in August 2022 through April 2023 under the terms of the JD17 million deal, subject to doubling the amounts in the following years.
IJC General Manager Ali Ababneh underscored the importance of the agreement in cementing bilateral cooperation.
He said: 'JPMC and its affiliates annually produce about 1.1 million tons of phosphoric acid, of which more than 70 percent is shipped to the international market and the remaining is used locally for the manufacture of fertilizers.'
