Kingdom's livestock imports records major jump in 1st tertile
The Kingdom imported 351,000 heads of livestock in the first 4 months of 2022, signaling a major increase of 37 percent from the figure reported in the same period of 2021.
In the January-April period of 2021, the Kingdom imported 255,000 heads of livestock, Secretary-General of the Jordan Navigation Syndicate (JNS) Mohammad Dalabeeh told Petra on Sunday.
The number of inbound containers picked up by 12 percent in the first third of the current year to a total of 272,063, Dalabeeh added. Similarly, around 127,129 vehicles were imported via the port of Aqaba in the reporting period against 103,198 vehicles in the same period of 2021.
