Electric meters to benefit from government subsidized tariff topped 416,000-EMRC
A total of 416,688 electric meters have registered on the newly launched e-platform-kahraba.gov.jo- until Thursday morning, to benefit from government electricity subsidies, according to data announced by Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC).
Jordanian applicants , who opened an account to register on the electricity subsidy link until Thursday, accounted for 98.62%, while the number of Gaza Strip people residing in Jordan reached 1.3%. Percentage of temporary Jordanian passport holders hit 0.7%, the EMRC figures showed.
On Thursday alone, the gov't e-platform to benefit from the subsidized electric tariff for the household sector received 864 observations, inquiries and complaints, which are solved gradually, the EMRC said.
