EAIIA calls for not reducing customs duties on imports
The Eastern Amman Industrial Investors association (EAIIA), on Friday, called on the government not to reduce customs duties on imports.
The EAIIA, in a statement, said such move will adversely affect the industrial sector in the Kingdom, adding that reducing customs duties on imports will threaten the competitiveness of the Jordanian industry locally and abroad.
The statement stressed that the industrial sector has contributed to maintaining food security during the COVID-19 outbreak.
