Industry minister, Hungarian envoy discuss economic cooperation
Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Youssef Shamali on Monday met with Hungary Ambassador to Jordan, Attila Kali, for a discussion on mechanisms of enhancing economic and trade bilateral cooperation, in a way that serves common interests.
During the meeting, Shamali reaffirmed Jordan's constant keenness to promote Jordanian-Hungarian ties in various fields and increase the trade exchange volume between the two countries and attract foreign investments.
Last year, Jordan's exports to Hungary amounted to $1.37 million, an increase of 180.2%, while imports from Hungary amounted to $39.2 million, an increase of 30.4 percent compared to 2019.
Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjartois is scheduled to visit Jordan on Wednesday.
