Chairman of Jordan Free Zones Investment Commission Mohammad Bustanji said 16,177 hybrid cars, 16,730 fuel cars, 9,176 diesel cars and 4,276 electric cars were registered in the reporting period.
Bustanji said the demand on hybrid cars has been on the rise since June after the government had announced it is planning to up its tax on hybrid cars by 55 percent, warning a setback in the market will follow suit. He advised the government to review its decision.
