Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Sharhabeel Madi lauded the authority’s participation in the IFTM Top Resa international tourism trade show in Paris on Friday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He highlighted the high demand from French tourists to visit the “Golden Triangle” — Aqaba, Petra and Wadi Rum. In regard to receiving cruise ships in the Gulf of Aqaba, Madi pointed out that it was agreed with the French Euro Cruise Company to operate its ships to Aqaba before the end 2021.
Under the agreement, there will be one trip per week where tourists spend two nights in the city, visiting all tourist sites as part of a tourist programme.
