Al Kayed: Jordan will heavily participate in Dubai Expo
Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDC) Director Abdel Fattah Al Kayed said Saturday that Jordan will have a strong presence in the Dubai 2021 World Expo, which opens early next month, including holding events and activities by the Kingdom's various cultural and economic sectors over the duration of the exhibition.
Al Kayed, who is also Acting Secretary General of the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC), said in a press release that the JIC has almost completed the various arrangements at the Jordanian pavilion, which will feature updated technical presentations on Jordan's history and culture and highlight tourist and investment areas in the Kingdom and its key heritage products.
The participation in the six-month Dubai Expo will also feature holographic displays exploring the future as well as the achievements of Jordanian youth for the prospective 25 million visitors, he said.
Al Kayed pointed out that the various Jordanian institutions had voiced their full cooperation with the JIC, providing it with the various materials and equipment to ensure that the Jordanian pavilion will appear in its finest image among its peers from 195 countries, which have different designs that depict national cultures and civilizations.
He urged the Jordanian community in Dubai to help promote the Jordan Pavilion, adding that attention is currently focused on the Jordanian media's role in that endeavour.
