Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh will participate in the Egypt Forum for International Cooperation and Development Finance 'Egypt-ICF', which will convene in its first edition tomorrow in Cairo.
The two-day gathering, organised by the Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, will draw high-level participation at the local, regional and international levels, according to a ministry press release.
The forum, which combines in-person and virtual participation, will feature five panel discussions and seven workshops to address challenges facing global post-Covid development efforts and the importance of development financing in strengthening these efforts, it said.
The statement said the meeting will also tackle the prospective role of the private sector in supporting global development endeavors, multilateral partnerships in post-pandemic reconstruction efforts, and the importance of boosting international financing mechanisms to align with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
