Jordan imports JOD729 million worth of oil derivatives
Jordan imported JOD729.2 million worth of oil derivatives in the Jan-June period, a 3.1 percent increase as opposed to JOD707 million in the same period in 2020, according to the statistics department.
The Department of Statistics (DoS) said crude oil came on top of oil derivatives at JOD311 million, followed by diesel at JOD160 million, followed by lubricants at JOD12 million. Jordan's imports of gas stood at JOD86 million, while petrol imports cost JOD155 million.
Imports overall have increased in the reporting period to JOD6.815 billion, a 22,3 percent increase as opposed to the same period in 2020.
