JIEC, BTSO sign agreement to enhance Jordanian-Turkish trade ties
The Jordan Industrial Estates Company (JIEC) signed Wednesday, a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), to further raise the level of joint cooperation in the economic field and expertise exchange.
The MoU, which was signed by the JIEC Director, Omar Juwaid, and BTSO's vice-chairman, Murad Bayezid, entails ways to strengthen joint cooperation, develop economic relations, exchange related information and cooperate in the promotion and marketing fields.
The MoU also covers training and exchanging expertise, in accordance with the two countries' regulatory legislation in place, as well as holding trade and economic events aimed to introduce businesspeople to the export potentials in both countries.
Under the MoU, engagement of Jordanian-Turkish industrial companies and business community is supported to help integrate joint future projects and benefit from the two friendly countries' investment privileges.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Juwaid said the MoU serves the two countries' industrial sector, which would accordingly benefit from joint expertise.
In this regard, Jordan, Juwaid said, has many investment privileges that enable the Kingdom to attract attention of Turkish investors, especially in industrial estates, which have so far become a 'distinguished' environment for attracting foreign investments.
Bayezid, for his part, said this memorandum will contribute to developing joint economic relations, opening up cooperation prospects for Jordanian and Turkish investors, benefiting from the two countries' export privileges and highlighting projects for future cooperation.
