Mamon Al-Adwan - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Hala Zawati on Wednesday said that various studies approved that the area of Dana reserve contains more than 40 million tons of copper mixed with rocks. 

During a meeting with the energy Lower House committee, the minister added that the net ore of copper in Dana area is 1 million ton.

She also said that the ministry agreed with Dana reserve and the ministry of Environment to stay away from forest areas and biodiversity, stressing that copper mining will not affect the reserve.
