According to observatory data, the tremor occurred in the eastern Mediterranean, 70 km southwest of Beirut, at a depth of 20 km.
The observatory and its headquarters in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources are regional and international observatories and monitor seismic activity inside and outside the Kingdom's borders.
