The announcement was sponsored by Minister of Public Works and Housing, Yahia Kisbi, and attended by the HUDC Director General, Jumana Attiyat, and a number of stakeholders.
Kisbi said that the HUDC Board of Directors decided to grant the above mentioned employees a set of facilities and financial benefits related to the payment mechanism for land plots offered for direct sale within the HUDC's projects.

He pointed out that the price of the property is paid in installments for a period of up to (10) years, with a down payment of only 15 per cent.
The installments will be with interest rate ranging from 5 to 6 per cent, and the sale process will take place within the terms and conditions set by the HUDC, with prioritization in accordance with the number, date and time of submitting the benefit request.
For her part, Attiyat highlighted the HUDC's efforts and projects to provide suitable housing for public sector employees.
Conditions to be met by the applicant, according to Attiyat, state that the deduction should not exceed one-third of the net monthly salary, the buyer’s age should not be more than 65 years for males and 60 years for females when the last installment is due and the buyer should be on the job, and his service period is not less than five years, provided that he has been officially assuming his post.
