Prince Mired meets members of Jordan’s Invictus Games team
HH Prince Mired, chairman of the Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers, on Monday met the members of the commission’s team that is preparing to take part in the Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded, injured service personnel.
The event is scheduled next year in the Netherlands after being postponed for two successive years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During his visit, the prince emphasised the importance of continuing training to build on previous achievements. He also highlighted the role of sports in overcoming disability challenges and enhancing self-confidence, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
At the end of the meeting, the prince distributed medals offered by the Invictus Games to the players in recognition of their efforts.
