RHDC presents document on 70th anniversary of King Abdullah I martyrdom
The Royal Hashemite Documentation Center (RHDC) presented a document on the 70th anniversary of the martyrdom of His Majesty the late King Abdullah I bin Al Hussein, which falls on July 20.
The document is the editorial of the Al-Sareeh magazine in Jerusalem, issue 111 issued on July 21, 1951, in which the magazine editor-in-chief, Hashem Al-Sabe’, mourned His Majesty King Abdullah I.
The writer intended to recall the honorable Hashemite descent of the deceased, and to the close historical relationship that binds the Hashemites to Jerusalem, where the deceased was martyred 'next to the tomb of his martyred father' and on the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the RHDC said in a statement.
The writer also explained the role of the martyr in establishing the Jordanian state, highlighting the national and patriotic positions of the late King Abdullah I.
