Accidental blast hits near al-Kharj in Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that an accidental explosion took place near the city of al-Kharj, southeast of the capital Riyadh.
The ministry spokesperson, Brigadier General Turki al-Malki, said the blast went off in a square outside the city, used for the collection and disposal of ammunitions that are no longer suitable for use.
'No injures were reported,' he added, noting that investigation is underway on the incident's reasons.
