The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) has launched a funding window to support Jordanian game developers through the Jordan Gaming Lab, one of the Fund’s initiatives.
A statement by KAFD on Tuesday indicated that the financing window aims at building the capabilities of young people and enhancing their competencies and production capacity in the gaming industry.
'It works toward providing financial support of no more than JD5,000 to independent developers and JD10,000 to startups to help transform their ideas into productive income-generating projects,' the statement added.
Interested individuals or start-ups looking for seed funding can apply through www.gaminglab.jo, between June 24, 2021 and July 15, 2021.
The Jordan Gaming Lab is an initiative of His Majesty King Abdullah II in 2011, launched by KAFD, and was specially designed to meet the needs of developers and companies in designing and programming digital games, to support and elevate the digital gaming industry which is considered one of the promising and rapidly growing industries in Jordan.
