The first court session of “sedition case” is held today
Mamon Al-Adwan - State Security Court holds its first session of the “sedition case” today Monday.
The session is chaired by the military judge, Lieutenant colonel Muafaq Almasa’eed.
The Public Prosecutor of State Security Court last Sunday has approved the indictment against Bassem Awaddallah and Sharif Hassan Bin Zaid with regards to the sedition case.
The indictment proves with evidence that there is a close corporation between Prince Hamzah, Sharif Hassan Bin Zaid and Bassem Awaddallah.
Bin Zaid has recommended Bassem Awaddallah to help Prince Hamzah to gain external support, according to the indictment against them.
The meetings of Hamzah and Bin Zaid and Awaddalh were held at Awaddallah’s house, the indictment added.
The indictment also stated that Awaddallah and Bin Zaid has encouraged Prince Hamzah to organise more inciting encounters with various sectors of the society.
“I have revised and edited some of Prince Hamzah’s messages before they were published”, Awaddallah said according to the indictment.
“Prince Hamzah came directly to my house after Al-Salt hospital incident”, he added.
Awaddallah has criticized the King’s policy with regards to the Palestinian cause, aiming at weakening Jordan’s position and the Hashemite Custody of the Holy Places in Jerusalem, indictment added.
On 21 March, Prince Hamzah sent a message to Bin Zaid which states “when time comes, the hit will be hard” …, according to the indictment.
