Initiative launched to celebrate centenary, Independence Day
The Princess Basma Centre for Human Development, affiliated with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), in cooperation with a number of charities, on Saturday launched a volunteering initiative under the title: “For the Sake of the Leader’s Eyes” to celebrate Independence Day and the centenary of the foundation of the Jordanian state, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the launching, the director of the centre Faeda Awamra said that the initiative includes several activities that will continue until the end of the year, including public hygiene campaigns for areas in need, decorating and painting streets and sidewalks, planting trees, in addition to conducting lectures to raise awareness pertaining to the coronavirus and the importance of receiving the vaccine and following preventive measures.
