Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali on Thursday discussed with Chinese Ambassador in Amman Chen Chuandong ways to boost Sino-Jordanian economic and businesses cooperation.
The two officials reviewed mechanisms to develop trade and investment exchange between Jordan and China and drew up scenarios to stimulate the private sector on both sides to increase the two-way trade and joint investments.
Ali called on the Chinese side to take advantage of the available investment opportunities, especially in the industrial and technological sectors in the Jordanian market and other markets with which Jordan has commercial agreements, in addition to diversifying Chinese investments in many areas within the Kingdom.
She stressed the importance of networking between the private sector and businessmen in the two countries to serve common interests.
The meeting highlighted the importance of increasing Jordanian exports to China, including olive oil, dates, Dead Sea products, and fertilizers, known for high quality and competitive prices.
