Culture Minister, Tunisian Ambassador discuss activating joint agreements
Culture Minister Ali Al-Ayed on Tuesday met with the Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan,m Khaled Al-Suhaili, on ways of cooperation in the cultural field and activating cultural agreements between the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, the minister commended the strong and fraternal relationship between the two brotherly countries, based on similarities between the Jordanian and Tunisian peoples.
For his part, the Tunisian ambassador stressed the importance of the well-established relations between the two countries, especially the cultural relations, underlining the importance of reviving them after the end of the Coronavirus pandemic.
He called for organizing a Jordanian cultural week in Tunisia to inform the Tunisian people about aspects of Jordanian culture, which is rich in its components, similar to the Tunisian cultural week that was held in Amman in 2019.
The meeting discussed the terms of the executive program and the proposal of the Tunisian ambassador to create a cultural committee within the joint committees between the two countries.
Jordan and Tunisia signed their first cultural cooperation agreement in 1981, followed by the signing of executive programs and memoranda of understanding to strengthen joint ties.
