Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, on Monday paid a visit to the Amman Chamber of Commerce and was briefed on the progress of the procedures for submitting requests to reopen closed facilities, which will be allowed to operate as of tomorrow.
According to the government's action plan to open sectors and activities until reaching a safe summer, in the first stage, many closed facilities will return to operate, provided that the required requirements and protocols for work procedures and preventive measures are adhered to in order prevent the spread of the Coronavirus infection.
These facilities include sports centers, academies, fitness centers, equestrian clubs, public swimming pools, cinemas, in addition to billiards centers, sports promotional snooker, entertainment and leisure cities, children's play areas, electrical and electronic games centers, and Turkish and oriental baths.
The Amman Chamber of Commerce, starting from Sunday morning, began receiving employers from its members, who wish to open their closed facilities and return to operations.
The facility wishing to return to work must submit an application to the responsible authority and sign the pledge to abide by the health protocols represented in vaccinating its employees, provided that 21 days have passed since receiving the first dose of the vaccine and allowing the facility to receive its visitors who have been vaccinated 21 days ago, except for those under the age of 18 or those who do not need to be vaccinated.
According to the instructions and conditions that will continue in force until September 1, the facilities must work at more than 50 percent of the capacity and nominate a health monitor from their employees to ensure compliance with work procedures and safety measures.
