Russeifa administrator, Sultan Madi, who is also head of the municipality committee, said that he has instructed the municipality staff, in cooperation with the police, to address the issue, remove the gravel and clean up the graveyard, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
He added that contacts were made with the police to review the CCTV footage near the cemetery to take legal action. Al Rashid graveyard, in Russeifa region, few months ago, was closed after a bulldozer was used to widen a road inside the graveyard, damaging a number of graves.
The bulldozer driver and the person who had asked him to widen the road were both arrested and referred to the judiciary.
