A Cabinet session, chaired by Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, on Wednesday approved to exempt businesses that have stopped working due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic from a certain percentage of waste fees for 2020, to be determined according to the period of stoppage.
According to the decision, businesses that stopped working from March 2020 until May of the same year are exempted from 25 percent of the waste fees for 2020, while businesses that stopped working from March 2020 to July of the same year are exempt from 50 percent of waste fees for 2020.
The decision also exempts businesses that have stopped working based on orders issued under Defense Law No. 13 of 1992 and are still not working to date from 100 percent of waste fees for 2020.
The Cabinet approved the disbursement of financial claims to university hospitals from the Emergency Expenditure Fund to confront the Covid-19 pandemic.
Also, the Cabinet have endorsed a set of decision related to civil affairs.
