One tourist facility shut down, 16 fined for breaching preventive measures
Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities's (MOTA) inspection teams, in cooperation with other relevant authorities, have shut down one tourist facility and fined 16 others during April for not complying with health and safety measures.
In a statement, the ministry said that the 15 inspection teams have intensified their oversight tours during the last period and conducted some 1,994 visits to various tourist businesses, including hotels and restaurants, across the Kingdom.
The ministry indicated that 1,168 tourist establishments have adhered to public safety and health protection standards, noting that 120 others and 3 individuals have been notified.
