The new infections comprised 474 cases in the capital, Amman, 342 in Irbid, including 41 in northern border district of Ramtha, 167 in Zarqa, 110 in Mafraq, 97 in Balqa, 73 in Tafileh, 72 in Karak, 70 in Jerash, 42 in Ajloun, 41 in Aqaba, 41 in Ma'an, including 8 in southern Petra region, and 23 in Madaba, according to the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health.
The number of patients who were admitted to hospitals today stood at 140, while 166 cases have recovered and discharged, the statement added.
According to the briefing, the total number of recoveries recorded Thursday, whether at hospitals or at home, stood at 2, 732 bringing the total to 680,907 since the outbreak began.
Moreover, the number of Covid-19 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals countrywide has reached 1,455.
The statement also indicated that occupancy of ICU beds in the northern, central and southern regions, has has reached 42%, 45%, and 20%, respectively.
With regard to testing, 17, 112 tests were conducted Thursday, 9.07 percent of which were positive.
Since last March, the total number of tests administered has increased to 6,685, 507, the joint statement noted.
