President of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) Fathi Jaghbir on Thursday discussed means of advancing economic relations with Chargé d'Affaires at the Syrian Embassy Essam Niyal, with a focus on the role of the private sector in this arena.
Jaghbir, who also heads the Jordan Chamber of Industry, extended, via the embassy, an invitation for the head of the Damascus Chamber of Trade and Industry to visit Amman to discuss building an integrated economic relationship, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Niyal expressed Damascus' desire to establish an integrated economic relationship, especially in the industry field. Jordan exports to Syria in 2020 totalled $64 million, while imports reached $44 million, Petra reported.
