State Security Court (SSC) prosecutor general on Wednesday initiated investigations into the “sedition case”.
The case was referred to the prosecutor general on Monday, while the government briefed the Lower House and Senate on the latest developments pertaining to the issue.
Sixteen people, including former minister Bassem Awadallah, were detained over charges related to attempts of destabilising the Kingdom and referred to the prosecutor general of the SSC.
