COVID-19 killed 100 in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 7,383 and a total of 6,005 cases were recorded, pushing the caseload to some 645,450, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Breaking down Tuesday's tally, the MoH said that 2,269 cases were recorded in Amman, 942 in Irbid, 830 in Zarqa, 375 in Balqa, 306 in Mafraq, 251 in Karak, 243 in Madaba, 204 in Ajloun, 181 in Aqaba, 171 in Jerash, 153 in Tafilah and 80 in Maan.
The MoH said in a press statement that some 361 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 347 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals stands at 3,059.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 76,170, it added.
More than 561,890 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
Around 13 percent of the 44,080 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
