The Ministry of Health announced 99 Covid-19 fatalities and 4, 774 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Friday, bringing the death toll to 7,039 and the caseload to 622, 833.
The new cases include 2025 in Amman, 813 in Irbid, 586 in Zarqa, 268 in Balqaa, 194 in Mafraq, 185 in Karak, 184 in Aqaba, 154 in Madaba, 135 in Ajloun, 110 in Jerash, 74 in Maan, and 46 in Tafila, according to the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health.
The number of hospitalizations today stood at 389, while 384 patients have recovered and discharged, the statement noted.
The statement also indicated that occupancy of the total ICU bed capacity has hit 76%, 77%, and 45% in the northern, central and southern regions, respectively.
With regard to testing, 35,034 tests were conducted Friday, 13.63 percent of which were positive.
Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of tests administered has increased to 6,001,445, the joint statement noted.
