Iftaa department: COVID vaccine does not break Ramadan fasting
Taking the COVID-19 vaccines is religiously permissible in the holy month of Ramadan as it does not break fasting, Iftaa department said on Wednesday.
The department also added that intramuscular injection does not break one's fasting, affirming that people who have side effects and cannot continue fasting after receiving the vaccine are allowed to break their fasting to get the suitable treatment, then make up for the missed fasting days later, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
