Presiding over a meeting of the committee of the Senate's 'Youth National Dialogue' initiative today, to pick a chairperson and rapporteur, he pointed to the need to develop 'traditional mechanisms and methods of dialogue, and use methods that reflect young people's interests, and listen to their views, suggestions and ideas on various national issues.'
Fayez called on youth to confront the attempt to tamper with the social fabric, act to counter hate speech, and consolidate the principle of responsible national dialogue.
In turn, Senator Rabieh Dabbas, who was picked as the initiative's head, said efforts will focus on various youth issues, foremost is the level of youth political participation, and economic contribution, that would contribute to building the society.
In multiple interventions, the senators suggested finding 'effective' means of communication with young people, to outreach various youth groups and network to find out the various challenges facing them and try to address them appropriately.
