Thirteen defendants stood before an Amman court on Sunday facing charges of involuntary manslaughter following the death of 7 coronavirus patients at Al-Salt Public Hospital earlier this month as a result of an oxygen supply outage.
The defendants, who each faces 7 counts of involuntary manslaughter, pleaded not guilty before the Amman Magistrate's Court.
The court decided to extend the detention of the defendants for a new week and refused all defense motions to release them on bail.
It also said the trial will entail two weekly hearings on Sunday and Wednesday.
