The Income and Sales Department on Wednesday announced that medical oxygen was exempted from the 16 per cent sales tax a week ago.
In a statement, the department said that the decision would contribute to provide the Kingdom’s hospitals with medical oxygen amid the COVID-19 pandemic since the exemption lowers the cost of healthcare services made for citizens.
The move was a response to the Private Hospitals Association’s calls for the cancellation of the tax, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
