COVID-19 killed 109 in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 5,985, and a total of 9,269 cases were recorded, pushing the caseload to some 544,724, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Breaking down Monday's tally, the MoH said that 4,510 in Amman, 1,151 in Irbid, 1,096 in Zarqa, 661 in BPalqa, 362 in Mafraq, 280 in Madaba, 259 in Aqaba, 230 in Karak, 223 in Ajloun, 212 in Jerash, 144 in Tafilah and 141 in Maan.
The MoH said in a press statement that some 365 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 440 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals stands at 3,277.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 97,500, it added.
More than 441,240 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
Around 20 percent of the 45,900 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
