Three private hospitals boost their bed capacity by 170 beds
Acting Minister of Health, Mazen Faraya, announced three private hospitals have increased their bed capacity by 170 regular isolation, ICU beds to receive Covid-19 patients.
In a press statement on Sunday, he said this procedure comes within the framework of the Ministry of Health's effort to activate agreements previously concluded with many private hospitals, aimed to facilitating the process of Covid-19 patient hospitalizations to receive the necessary care 'as quickly as possible.'
Faraya said the Ministry of Health continues its efforts round the clock to increase the hospital capacity, by implementing the agreements signed with university and private hospitals.
Continuing: ' Returning to a safe summer and open sectors requires citizens' commitment to health and preventive measures, wearing face masks, exhibiting social distancing, moving forward with the campaign to receive Covid-19 vaccines, and increasing the clinical capacity in hospitals.'
Highlighting its policy, he said the Ministry of Health will inform citizens of information related to the the Kingdom's medical and health reality first-hand, based on its principle of transparency, especially the health capabilities in hospitals and medical centers.
He called for stopping airing and circulating rumors and offensive videos on field hospitals and centers that make 'qualitative' efforts round the clock to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
