Minister of State for Media Affairs and the government spokesperson, Sakher Dudin confirmed that the epidemiological curve in Jordan has become extremely dangerous.

Dudin said to Ammonnews that “we fear that epidemiological curve will reach levels beyond expected, resulting in full lockdown”. 

He clarified that what is required now is tapering down the epidemiological curve, calling for the adherence to partial curfew and Friday curfew in addition to other required preventive measures such as wearing face masks and social distancing.

He added that “we might be obliged to impose full lockdown or other measures according to the epidemiological curve”.

With regards to anti-corona virus vaccines, the Minister confirmed that Jordan started to receive large quantities of vaccines recently, clarifying that all vaccines are safe.
