ACC issues 2,765 certificates of origin in January, February
The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in the first two months of 2021 to export goods totaled JD91 million against JD137 million in the same period of 2020, the ACC announced on Sunday.
The ACC issued 2,765 certificates of origin in January and February, compared with 3,404 certificates in the corresponding period of last year, the chamber said in a statement.
The ACC noted that a total of 479 certificates were issued for shipments exported to the UAE, followed by Iraq (220), Egypt (128), Indian (22) and Switzerland with 5 certificates.
The majority of exports last year went to Iraq, which accounted for JD32 million, followed by the UAE with JD7 million, Egypt with JD6 million and Switzerland with JD4 million.
With regard to foreign product exports 're-exports', the chamber said they amounted to about JD51 million, while industrial, agricultural and Arab products exports reached JD16 million, JD10 million and JD4 million respectively.
