JOCC urges gov't to coordinate with private sector before any closures
The Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JOCC) on Sunday called on the government to consult and coordinate with the private sector before taking any decisions related to closing any sector or extending lockdown hours, saying such decisions have a negative impact on economic and commercial activity.
During a Zoom-powered meeting, the annual general assembly of the JOCC called for strong adherence to safety and health measures by customers and businesses, urging further education of the various economic sectors.
The meeting approved the 2019 financial and administrative reports of the chamber's board in addition to its 2021 draft budget.
