Lower House presents 18 recommendations to government
Parliament on Sunday presented 18 recommendations to the government at the end of its session discussing the government’s policies and the health and economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
The recommendations highlighted the importance of improving health sector’s efficiency in delivering quality healthcare services and achieving a balance between protecting public health and maintaining the opening of economic sectors, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The Lower House authorised its Permanent Office to monitor the notices and recommendations of 77 deputies, in preparation for referring the recommendations to the government, besides forming a parliamentary committee to follow up on the government's measures.
The MPs also emphasised the importance of reviewing the government’s support programmes, notably those aimed at individuals and small-scale businesses.
