The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) on Saturday celebrated its 20th anniversary, which coincided with the centenary celebrations of the Kingdom.
The KAFD announced a project titled 'The Centennial Path”, targeting young people to introduce them to the political, economic and social history of Jordan, raise awareness about their role in continuing to build the country and to consolidate the concepts of belonging to one’s homeland, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a Saturday press briefing, the KAFD said that in order to achieve its goals, the fund has undertaken several tasks ever since its establishment in 2001, including establishing productive development projects in governorates, providing means of support and necessary technical advice, founding institutions and companies, offering training and vocational rehabilitation for citizens, assisting outstanding students and paving way for hundreds of thousands of job opportunities for the youth in different sectors.
