Director of Palestinian Affairs, UNRWA discuss COVID-19 consequences
Director General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs, Rafiq Kharfan, discussed with Director of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Affairs in Jordan, Marta Lorenzo, issues of mutual interest, mainly the agency’s programs in light of the coronavirus pandemic, including the vaccination program.
In a statement on Tuesday, the department said that talks also touched on the conditions of the community centers operating under the agency's umbrella, and ways to support them to continue their role in providing services to Palestinian refugees in the Kingdom, especially the rehabilitation centers for people with disabilities.
'Lorenzo valued the fruitful cooperation between the agency and the Health Ministry that contributes to confronting the threat of the virus and protecting citizens,' the statement added.
