Jordan lower house speaker, Kuwait envoy talk parliamentary cooperation
Jordan Speaker of the Lower House, Abdulmunim Oddat, and Kuwait Ambassador in Amman, Aziz Daihani, held a meeting in Amman Monday for a discussion on Jordan-Kuwait ties and parliamentary cooperation.
Oddat said Jordan-Kuwait ties have always been 'brotherly,' highlighting that the two countries share the same fate and have always fended for Arab causes and promoted pan-Arabism. He said that there is no daylight between the two countries' position in serving the Arab causes, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.
He congratulates Kuwaiti MP Marzouq al-Ghanim for being reelected as Kuwait's National Assembly speaker, emphasizing his keenness for more cooperation and concerted effort between the two legislative bodies.
In turn, Daihani praised Jordan's role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in seeking more cooperation between Arab countries. He underscored his country's supportive position for pan-Arab causes, chief of which is the Palestinian cause.
